Changes in base material
due to anodizing reproduction
Unlike plating, anodized coating is a film that is generated by changes in the surface of aluminum itself. Depending on the alloy material, about 1/2 to 2/3 of the growth coating grows inside the base material when it is generated. For this reason, if the existing anodized coating is removed during the reproduction process, the part that has grown inside the base material will be removed, and the thickness will be reduced. The amount of change depends on the material, heat treatment, and the method of anodizing.
